Ok, Jonathan Sudler and I transferred here from Hawaii and I was in the University of Ohio and I was in their art program and it was um… pretty sucky. It was pretty awful, although I gather from comparison from foundations here it wasn’t that bad. I just had one teacher in particular who didn’t like me being in his class so he made life difficult… so anyway, I uh worked my ass off when I was there trying to the best I possibly could and then I came across this other teacher who got me interested in art history and when I was in her class I was basically viracious. I just went after everything. I just really took off and enjoyed the academic side of everything and got here and did the same kind of work pushing myself really hard and was really surprised cause I started getting letters in the mail from the University from this organization Phi Kappa Phi which is their honors society program and I got a phone call from Steve Crandall. He called me up yesterday and told me that their having their induction ceremony tonight… and, “I’m hoping that you’re going to be here” and I said, “well I’m not going to be inducted” and he said, “well you’re our book award winner for our sophomore class” and I said, “what is that?” and he said, “well you have the highest GPA in the Sophomore class and we’re honoring you for that and it’s a great stepping stone to become a member of Phi Kappa Phi when you’re a Junior!” So I went there last night and Joe Lewis was also being inducted as a member and Joe is real familiar with my situation with transferring out here from Hawaii and everything he said “Well, now you’ve done it” and I’m like wait, “What? I didn’t do anything!” and he was like well, “Now you’ve set the standard and you have to keep it up for the next two years.” and I’m like Oh my god! So that’s my most recent story.
